Miluse M. "Mila" Mikota
Miluse M. "Mila" Mikota, 91, of Ford City, PA passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning, PA.She was born on March 3, 1934 in Czech Republic; the daughter of Alois Mayer and Marie ProdlalovÎ.
Also known as Mama Mila, she was strong, independent, a fantastic cook, and a shoulder to cry on. She was a tough critic, especially when it came to food, as she had an incredible sense of taste. Mila was also incredibly generous, brave and a protector of her children and grandchildren. She loved dancing, listening to music, singing, swimming and reading. Mila would sit on the back porch and whistle to the birds and they would sing right back to her. She was an amazing mother, a loving grandmother, a wife to her late husband Lubo, who she will now finally be laid to rest next to.
Her memory will be cherished by her son, Lubomir Mikota and wife Kathy of Wisconsin; daughter Mila Hamilton and husband Dan of Ford City; grandchildren, Sylvia Hamilton, Andrew Hamilton, and Julia Mikota; and sisters, Jíndra and Irena.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her loving husband, Lubomir F. Mikota, whom she married on July 18, 1953.
Family and friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of services at 12 PM on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, PA with Rev. John Neyman officiating.
Interment will be in Homewood Baptist Cemetery, Ford City, PA.
